Austrian Cinnamon Cookies Recipe
Traditional Granny Recipe for Austrian Cinnamon Cookies.
Zutaten
- 250 g white sugar {1 cup + 4 US tablespoons}
- 250 g all purpose flour {2 cups}
- 100 g butter {3.5 oz / 0.9 stick of butter / 7 US tablespoons}
- cinnamon grounded, about 1 teaspoon
- cloves grounded, about 1 teaspoon
- 1 egg to spread on the cookies
- walnuts for decoration
Anleitung
- Knead flour, sugar, butter, cinnamon and cloves to a dough and roll out thinly.
- Cut into squares with a pastry wheel.
- Spread with whisked egg and decorate with nuts.
- Bake in the oven at medium temperature. Exact temperature and duration depend on your oven.
