15-MINUTES-OFFICE-SNACK: STYRIAN PASTA

Styrian Pasta – The perfect office lunch: provides you with a lot of energy and can be prepared the day before in just 15 minutes. Also one does not need a lot of dishes to prepare it. If you have to attend a meeting after this lunch, you should possibly do not exaggerate with the garlic. (Depending on how much you like the meeting participants)

Styrian Pasta with Celery and Pumpkin Seeds

 

Ingredients for 1 nine-to-fiver

  • more or less 100g wholemeal pasta
  • 100g celery
  • 2 tbsp roasted pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 1 clove garlic (or not)
  • (Styrian) pumpkin seed oil
  • sunflower oil or similar for frying the celery
  • salt & pepper

Step by Step

  1. heat water in a pot on the stove
  2. meanwhile snip or garte celery into small pieces
  3. when the water boils, add salt and cook the pasta (usually sufficient are 6-7 minutes). When al dente, drain water, take out the pasta from the pot
  4. I then took the same pot to fry the celery: heat a tbsp of sunflower oil and fry celery and crushed garlic for a few minutes
  5. remove from heat, add the noodles, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seed oil (to taste) and salt and pepper.

Tipps for packaging the Styrian Pasta:

Of course, you can use old jam glasses, tupperware boxes or similar things for packaging, but if you wanna be totally cool, use something fancy like e.g. a shoe or a flower pot.
